Quilceda Creek
“CVR” Red Wine
The 2002 growing season was all over the place temperature-wise, but in the end it made wonderful wine on all counts. We sorted through fruit from the Champoux, Ciel du Cheval, Klipsun, and Tapteil vineyards to produce a Bordeaux-style blend we are quite proud of. There’s 70 percent Cabernet Sauvignon, 20 percent Merlot, and 10 percent Cabernet Franc in this wine, aged in 100 percent French oak.
Smoke, vanilla, cocoa, and dark fruit dominate this medium-bodied wine. This wine is produced in a drink-earlier style, offering a great value to people who enjoy Quilceda Creek. We produced 975 cases.

"Full red-ruby. Tangy aromas of plum, cassis and musky torrefaction. Silky and suave in the mouth, with fruit-driven flavors of raspberry, plum, chocolate and sexy oak, with a complicating note of fresh herbs. Finishes with sweet tannins and supple lingering fruit. Made from declassified fruit and press wine."
