Quilceda Creek
“CVR” Red Wine
This blend for this vintage — made with young-vine fruit and barrels declassified from our top offerings — tilts more in favor of Cabernet Sauvignon than our Red Table Wine has in the past. It’s 90 percent Cabernet Sauvignon, 7 percent Cabernet Franc, and 3 percent Merlot, sourced from the Klipsun, Ciel du Cheval, Champoux, and Taptiel vineyards. Aged 22 months in French oak barrels, it is a rich, medium-bodied wine filled with the aromas and flavors of black cherries, marzipan, smoke and spices. Demonstrating good balance and complexity, this wine represents an excellent value. We made 1,225 cases.
